What IFundWomen Is and How It Works

PitchBook describes IFundWomen as the operator of a funding marketplace for women-owned businesses. The company now operates as IFW by Honeycomb Credit, following an acquisition announced on April 14, 2025. Per Honeycomb Credit, the IFW team joined Pittsburgh-based Honeycomb, and founder and CEO Karen Cahn became a Board Member and Principal Advisor there.

Crowdfunding is rewards-based, per Honeycomb Credit: supporters contribute in return for exclusive rewards, with no debt and no equity. A free e-course teaches the "IFW by Honeycomb Credit Method" for shaping a pitch, mapping your network, setting a goal and designing rewards. Grants run on one universal application that sponsors pick from when they launch a program. Coaching is sold as 30-minute private sessions over Zoom and as workshop subscriptions. Honeycomb Credit also says IFW gives access to SBA loans, and the homepage promotes a partner business checking account from Lili.

IFundWomen Pricing in 2026

Per IFundWomen's pricing page, there are three paid plans:

  • Workshop Access Plan: $9 a month. Live interactive workshops, 200+ hours of on-demand replays, plus resources and business templates.
  • Annual Workshop Access Plan: $89 a year. The same training, billed yearly.
  • Monthly Coaching Plan: $349 a month. Two 30-minute private coaching sessions a month, email support with IFW coaches, and everything in the Workshop Access Plan.

A GrantCompass review from September 2026 confirms the workshop plan at $9 a month or $89 a year. The $349 coaching price comes from an older capture of the pricing page, so check it at signup. No crowdfunding platform fee was found in the pages we reviewed.

What IFundWomen Is Built For, and Its Limits

What IFundWomen is built for

IFundWomen is built for women-owned small businesses that want non-dilutive money: rewards crowdfunding from their own network, sponsor grants, and coaching to prepare for both. It does not fund grants itself. Per GrantCompass, award size depends on the sponsor, and sponsored awards have typically run $10,000 to $25,000. GrantCompass reports that IFW has run grant programs with brands including Visa, adidas, Unilever, Novartis and GingerBread Capital.

Where it falls short

The grant process is passive. GrantCompass notes that the universal application "does not put you in line for a named grant with a deadline"; it only makes you findable when a sponsor arrives with criteria. IFW also states that you cannot check an application's status after submitting, and that unsubscribing from its mailing list may cut you off from grant communication.

On Trustpilot, one reviewer in February 2024 said there was nowhere to update billing details or cancel a monthly subscription. Another, in November 2022, said a single donation led to a flood of emails that continued after unsubscribing. A third said applying for funding brought mostly ads and self-promotion. One April 2026 review was titled "Crowdfunding is a waste of time here." For a startup, no investor database or investor outreach was found in the pages we reviewed.
