What Dealroom Is and How It Works

Dealroom is an intelligence platform for the startup and venture market. Its own description is "the global intelligence platform for startup ecosystems", and its site points to a data and knowledge graph described as "the graph connecting companies, investors, people and news". The illustrative platform tour on its homepage shows views for companies, sectors, locations, investors, deals, signals and a newsfeed.

Dealroom's homepage lists clients from early and late stage VC and PE to enterprise, government, ecosystem development, startups and universities. In the snapshot we reviewed, dated October 16, 2026, it promoted a new Ecosystem Platform, rebuilt from scratch to measure and grow a local tech ecosystem, and its illustrative tour showed a new API feed of companies founded since September, offered over a REST API and an MCP server.

One thing to clear up first: Dealroom is not DealRoom. DealRoom is a separate company that says its idea began in a small Chicago office in 2012, and it sells M&A software and a virtual data room. If a "Dealroom pricing" result quotes $1,250 a month, check which company it means: Capterra lists the M&A DealRoom from $1,250 a month flat rate for Pipeline Only and $1,500 a month for a Single Project, while Dealroom.co prices per seat. If you actually wanted a data room for your raise, see Round Funded's Data Room for startups.

Dealroom Pricing in 2026

Dealroom's pricing page says plans are priced per seat and billed annually, with a minimum of 3 seats. Prices are shown per month for comparison, but you pay 12 months up front by card, bank transfer or invoice. The per-seat rate drops as the team grows, and the figures below are the 10-seat selection, which the page labels "29% below the 3-seat price". A 3-person team pays more per seat than the numbers here.

PlanPrice (10-seat rate)Key limits
Premium$288 per seat a month, $34,500 a year for 10 seatsCore data and exports, 10,000 export credits per seat, email support
Premium Plus$383 per seat a month, $45,900 a year for 10 seatsEverything in Premium, contacts, 30,000 export credits per seat, 3,000 business email credits, MCP connection for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, priority support
EnterpriseCustom, 20+ seatsEverything in Premium Plus, unlimited export credits, hosted MCP server, SSO, 2 hours of analyst access per quarter

The API is not in any plan. It is an add-on priced on call volume rather than seats. Prova, a funding data API company, checked Dealroom's pricing on October 15, 2026 and notes the volume price is not published. Prova also lists the euro prices: 250 euros a seat a month for Premium and 325 euros for Premium Plus, billed annually.

Free trial. Dealroom's trial lasts 3 days with full Premium access, 50 export credits and every company profile and funding round, no card required. You can also book a 30-minute walkthrough instead. The Start free trial and Book a demo buttons on the pricing page lead to the same book-a-demo page, and we did not test the sign-up flow.

What Dealroom Does Well

  • Published prices. Prova calls Dealroom "one of the few in this space with published prices", and the pricing page shows per-seat rates before you ask for a quote.
  • Market-level research. Dealroom describes itself as mapping tech ecosystems globally. For market research it is the stronger tool: Round Funded offers no market research, company financials or valuation estimates.
  • No-card trial. Dealroom's 3-day trial gives full Premium access with no card required, while Round Funded's trial asks for a card.

Where Dealroom Falls Short

  • Team-sized commitment. The published minimum is 3 seats billed 12 months up front, so one founder would pay for three seats for a year, at more per seat than the 10-seat figures above.
  • API costs extra. The API is an add-on on top of any plan, priced on call volume; Prova notes the volume price is not published.
  • Research, not outreach. Dealroom's views cover companies, investors, deals and news. We found no investor email sending or raise tracking in the plan details we reviewed.

We found no reviews of Dealroom.co in the pages we reviewed; the review-site ratings that come up for "Dealroom" belong to DealRoom, the M&A software.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Dealroom cost?

As of October 2026, Dealroom shows Premium at $288 and Premium Plus at $383 per seat a month at its 10-seat rate, billed annually ($34,500 and $45,900 a year for 10 seats). The minimum is 3 seats, smaller teams pay more per seat, Enterprise for 20+ seats is custom, and the API is a separate add-on priced on call volume.

Is Dealroom free, or does it have a free trial?

We found no free plan in the pages we reviewed; one third-party pricing page, The Geeks Club, mentions one, but Dealroom's own pricing page offers only the trial. The trial is 3 days of full Premium access with 50 export credits and every company profile and funding round, no card required. For free investor matches instead, try Round Funded's Find Investors tool.

What is Dealroom?

Dealroom is a startup and investment intelligence platform at dealroom.co. It calls itself the global intelligence platform for startup ecosystems and points to a graph connecting companies, investors, people and news.

Is Dealroom the same as DealRoom?

No. DealRoom is a separate M&A software company selling deal pipeline tools and a virtual data room; Capterra lists it from $1,250 a month. Dealroom.co is the startup intelligence platform covered on this page, so prices from one do not apply to the other.

Is Dealroom legit, and is it worth it for founders?

Dealroom.co has a published pricing page and a public client list, both of which we reviewed. We found no independent reviews, founding year or funding details in our sources, so we cannot rate its track record. For a founder, a 3-seat minimum billed 12 months up front reads as a team purchase; Round Funded plans start at $99 a month.

Does Dealroom have an API or MCP?

Yes. The API is an add-on to any plan, priced on call volume, and Prova notes that price is not published. Premium Plus includes an MCP connection for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, and Enterprise adds a hosted MCP server. Round Funded also runs an MCP server on paid plans.

What are the best Dealroom alternatives?

It depends on the job. For founders raising money, Round Funded covers investor search, outreach from your Gmail and a pipeline. For research data, see our pages on PitchBook, Crunchbase and Tracxn, or Prova for funding data through an API (we have not reviewed Prova's own pricing).

Is Round Funded affiliated with Dealroom?

No. Round Funded is independent and has no affiliation with Dealroom. This comparison is built from Dealroom's public pages and published third-party sources, with facts as of October 2026. Prices and plans change, so check Dealroom's pricing page before you buy.

Final Word

Dealroom is an openly priced research platform for teams that study startup markets. A founder trying to raise needs investors who are writing checks now and a way to reach them.
