What Is Boardy AI, and What Does It Cost?

Boardy AI is an AI networking agent, free at its core, that introduces founders, investors and operators to people in its own network once both sides opt in. As of October 2026, Boardy Pro is $100/month per Boardy's August 2026 X post; its website shows no Pro price. To choose from 60,000+ active investors yourself, use Round Funded.

Boardy only introduces people who have already talked to it, once both say yes, and it decides who fits. Round Funded flips that: you filter active investors by stage, industry, geography and check size, then email your picks from your own Gmail.

What Boardy Is and How It Works

Boardy calls itself "an AI superconnector for founders, investors, and operators." Its homepage puts its network at over 250,000 people; TechCrunch put it at "a few thousand" at the October 2024 launch.

People tell it what they are building and need, by phone call or message, EO Magazine reported in September 2026; its site also lets ChatGPT, Claude or any AI assistant email it a brief about you once you approve.

After the intro it handles logistics: it adds events once you connect Google Calendar, schedules when CC'd on an email thread, and joins Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams calls to listen and follow up.

CEO Andrew D'Souza, who co-founded and led Clearco and spent almost 10 years there, started Boardy in 2024 with Matt Stein, Shen Sivananthan and Ankur and Abhinav Boyed.

Boardy Pro Pricing in 2026

As of October 2026, Boardy has a free core product and one paid tier, Boardy Pro at $100 a month, per Boardy's own post on X of August 11, 2026; its website shows no Pro price.

PlanPrice (as of October 2026)What you get
Free$0Unlimited conversations; 3 intros a day per Salesforge, Articuler and Blastra (we found no limit published by Boardy)
Boardy Pro$100/month; no annual plan foundScheduling, joining meetings, follow-up, deal support (Blastra); priority intros (Work Insiders); one calendar and a single user, per a Reddit user

The same post says the price "isn't changing" and offered each commenter a free period before billing, negotiated individually and opening at 2 weeks.

Work Insiders (checked October 15, 2026) reads it differently. It says Boardy's terms call the service currently free and that connecting Google Calendar unlocks Pro, with no price shown. The one listed charge, $100 a month for email scheduling, applies only to users who take a one-off $100 promotional payout. Reviewers also disagree on what Pro includes, so confirm before you pay.

What Boardy Does Well

Boardy beats Round Funded outright on warmth and cost of entry.

  • Intros are double opt-in: nobody gets your details until both sides say yes, so "the first call starts warm," per Salesforge's reviewer. Round Funded's outreach is cold email.
  • It is free to start; Round Funded has no free tier and starts at $99 a month as of October 2026.
  • It lends you a network: 5,000+ investors by Boardy's count; its homepage says people it introduced work at companies such as Y Combinator, Sequoia, OpenAI and Nvidia.
  • It is fast: Boardy reports a 17-hour average time to match, per Work Insiders and Salesforge, and a 2025 Substack reviewer got an opt-in intro within 10 minutes of a call.

Where Boardy Falls Short

Boardy's limits come from the design that makes it warm: you do not pick who you are matched with, how many intros you get, or when.

  • You cannot search the network or control who is in it (Work Insiders). Salesforge's reviewer calls Boardy deciding when a match is good enough "the biggest trade-off" and says some intros landed outside their ideal customer profile.
  • The 5,000+ investor figure is self-reported, with no stage or sector breakdown that we could find. Reviewers disagree on the mix: Salesforge says the pool leans toward founders and operators, Work Insiders that it skews to startups and investors.
  • There are no multi-step sequences or pipeline view (Salesforge) and no public API (Work Insiders).
  • Boardy treats any figures you give it as shareable in intros unless you mark them private, per its own brief template. In January 2025, D'Souza apologized for Trump-style emails that commented on users' appearance, per EU-Startups.
  • Upstarts Media advised taking Boardy's boasts "with a healthy dose of salt" in a January 2026 check-in on Boardy's pledge to help 100+ founders raise by the end of 2025; we could not confirm the outcome.

Boardy vs Round Funded

Boardy brings intros to you; with Round Funded, you go to the investors you pick.

Boardy wins when warmth matters more than control: no investor network of your own, a few opt-in conversations, scheduling handled for you. Its email brief also works with ChatGPT, which Round Funded's MCP server does not support yet.

Round Funded wins on a planned raise: a list you size, outreach on your schedule, and a Data Room that is free to build and share; on any paid plan each investor gets a tracked link that shows who opened your deck. Send that link after Boardy intros too.

Who Should Use Boardy

Boardy fits founders who want warm intros without building a list and are happy to let an AI pick their matches.

  • Use Round Funded for a planned raise where you choose the investors and track replies and deck opens per investor.
  • Use OpenVC for a free investor search, or Goodword to keep existing relationships warm.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Boardy Pro cost?

As of October 2026, Boardy Pro is $100 a month, per Boardy's August 11, 2026 post on X; its website shows no Pro price. Work Insiders says Pro adds priority intros; Salesforge and Blastra say it adds scheduling and joining meetings, which Work Insiders lists as free. Round Funded's plans cost $99 to $249 a month or $899 once, as of October 2026.

Is Boardy free, or is there a Boardy Pro trial?

Boardy's core product is free; reviews since late 2025 cite three intros a day, though we found no limit published by Boardy itself. No Pro trial length is published: in an August 2026 X post, Boardy offered commenters an individually negotiated free period, opening at 2 weeks. Round Funded has no free tier, only a 3-day trial with a card.

Is Boardy legit, and who founded it?

Yes. Boardy is a venture-backed company founded in 2024 by Clearco co-founder Andrew D'Souza and four co-founders, with HF0, 8VC and Creandum among its investors. Still, Upstarts Media advised taking its boasts with a healthy dose of salt, and D'Souza apologized in January 2025 for a publicity-stunt email about users' appearance.

Is Boardy Pro worth it for startup founders?

Boardy Pro ($100 a month as of October 2026, per Boardy's August 2026 post) is worth it if the free tier already sends you useful intros and you want priority intros; reviewers disagree on whether scheduling and follow-up need Pro. For a raise on a deadline it is weaker: you cannot search the network or set the pace. Ask Boardy how long Pro stays free before billing.

What is Boardy used for, and can it help you fundraise?

Boardy pitches itself for meeting people through double opt-in intros when you are raising money, hiring, job hunting, or looking for customers, partners or a cofounder. For fundraising, it can surface investors from a network it says includes 5,000+ of them. For a list you control, Investor Match returns 10 best-fit active investors.

How much has Boardy raised, and are its pitch deck and valuation public?

The rounds we found total about $11 million: a $3 million pre-seed in October 2024, with HF0 as the largest investor and participants including 8VC, Precursor, Afore, FJ Labs and NextView, then an $8 million seed led by Creandum in January 2025. We found no later round. Neither its valuation nor its pitch deck appears in the sources we reviewed.

What are the best Boardy alternatives for fundraising?

Round Funded fits a planned raise: 60,000+ active investors you choose and email from your own Gmail. OpenVC (free search; Premium $99 a month as of October 2026) and AngelMatch (an investor database with email outreach) also let you pick investors. Goodword covers relationship upkeep. More in our guide to AI tools for the fundraising stack.

Is Round Funded affiliated with Boardy?

No. Round Funded is not affiliated with Boardy. This is an independent comparison built from Boardy's public pages and published third-party sources, including TechCrunch, EU-Startups, Upstarts Media, Salesforge and Work Insiders, researched in October 2026. Confirm current prices with Boardy before you pay.

Final Word

Boardy AI is a smart, free way to collect warm intros, and its double opt-in gives you something cold email cannot; it does not let you pick who you are matched with or when. Keep it for the intros and run the raise from a list you choose.
