Questions before you connect

Can it send emails to investors for me?

No, and this is deliberate. The agent can draft outreach and queue it. Delivery needs a person. An AI mistake in an investor inbox cannot be undone, so the send button stays with you.

Does searching cost me anything?

No. Search, filters, pipeline and Data Room reads are unmetered. The only metered action is revealing an investor contact, and repeat reveals of the same investor are free.

Is my key safe to paste into a config file?

It is scoped to one workspace and works at the Round Funded MCP endpoint only. It cannot read your inbox, reach another founder or change your billing. If a config file leaks, revoke the key in Account, MCP and it is dead immediately.

Cursor uses mcpServers, right?

Yes. Cursor expects the top level key mcpServers. VS Code expects servers. They look similar and are not interchangeable, which is the most common reason a paste silently does nothing.

Global or per project?

Use ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or .cursor/mcp.json inside one repo if you want it scoped there. The block is identical either way.
