Revolut raised its first money in 2015 from a London fund, stayed in London, and ten years later reported $6 billion of audited revenue and $2.3 billion of profit. No relocation, no Valley address.
Nikolay Storonsky and Vladyslav Yatsenko started Revolut in July 2015 to fix something small and specific: the terrible exchange rate you get spending abroad. The first cheque, about 1.5 million pounds, came from Balderton Capital, a London firm, at a valuation of roughly 8 million.
They did not move. Revolut is still headquartered in Canary Wharf, and signed a ten-year lease there in 2024. Every round after the first came to London rather than the founders going to Sand Hill Road.

Revolut's 2025 accounts show $6 billion of revenue and about $2.3 billion of profit before tax, up from a $32 million loss in 2018. Those are audited figures rather than a company estimate, which is rarer than it should be at this size.
