Nigeria makes up $0.5T, 50% of which comes from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) - a huge number of these operate within large manufacturing supply chains. Starting with Freight Carriers Pivo makes financial services easily accessible for truck owners and truck drivers by providing a bank account, debit card and digital invoicing tools so they can get paid faster and avoid cash flow problems. This will be further augmented by more fundamental financial products such as credit, transaction management, and expense management, to improve their cashflow.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We are building a digital bank focused on freight truck owners and drivers in Nigeria and across Africa. Our product gives them bank accounts, debit cards, and digital invoicing to get paid faster and manage cash flow. We plan to add credit and expense tools tailored to their cash-flow challenges in supply chains.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in Lagos, Nigeria, and plan to keep the company based there after YC as it's the center of our market and operations.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Nigeria represents half of Africa's largest economy and has a huge SME base in manufacturing and logistics. Being in Lagos lets us stay close to our users and build a product grounded in local realities.
