What Lotus does
Lotus is an open-core pricing and billing engine. We enable API companies to automate their custom usage-based pricing for any metric. Rather than guess on how to charge their customers, Lotus provides companies with powerful new tools from metering to invoicing to testing new pricing. Our self-hosted software is free on GitHub, and we offer a paid cloud version and enterprise tier for support.

Lotus
Open-Core Pricing and Billing Engine
We built Lotus, an open-core engine that helps API companies automate custom usage-based pricing. From metering usage to invoicing and testing new pricing models, it handles every step of complex billing so companies stop guessing how to charge customers and start experimenting with what works.
We live in New York, NY and the company is based there with part of the team remote. Post-YC, we'd continue remote-first with a New York hub.
We chose New York because it puts us close to many fintech and SaaS customers. Remote work lets us tap talent anywhere without being constrained by location.
