We built Khatabook, a mobile app that replaces paper ledger books for small business owners in India. Users record credit and debit transactions (Jama and Udhar) with their trusted customers. We also offer financial services like lending based on these records. It's completely free and secure to use, targeting businesses that don't have access to formal bookkeeping or credit.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and operate in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

India has a huge market of small businesses still using paper ledgers. Bengaluru offers the right talent and ecosystem for our fintech product focused on local merchants. We want to stay close to our customers and ecosystem.
