What Honeylove does

Honeylove is a DTC startup founded by EDM artist Betsie Larkin. After searching high and low for quality shapewear that made her feel confident on stage, Betsie decided to create her own line of stage-worthy shapewear and launched publicly in 2018. Since then, Honeylove has expanded to tops, bras, and many other garments that have set new standards in their verticals. We apply a technical and artistic approach to problems we see in the fashion industry, creating products that serve our customers of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds.

We make functional shapewear and supportive undergarments designed for women seeking confidence and comfort. Our products solve the problem of shapewear that's uncomfortable or unattractive for real bodies, starting with garments that work for performers like EDM artist Betsie Larkin and expanding to a wider audience.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Los Angeles and San Francisco and plan to maintain both locations after YC to stay close to our design teams and customer base.

Explain your decision regarding location.

LA is where our creative and product development roots are, plus the founder lives there. SF connects us to tech talent and YC community resources, making both essential for growth.
