What Isabl does

Isabl has developed software that can analyze the entire genome of cancer patients. Today, when people get cancer, they get a genetic test of their tumor that analyzes only a few possible mutations. With Isabl, you run the tumor through an Illumina sequencer and get the whole genome, then our software is able to analyze all the mutations. Our breakthrough technology provides unprecedented clarity into tumor biology to aid treatment planning. This opens up opportunities for precision diagnostics, disease surveillance and biomarker discovery.

Cancer tests using whole genome and transcriptome data

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built software that analyzes the complete genome and transcriptome data from cancer tumors sequenced on Illumina machines. Instead of limiting to a few genes, our product processes whole genome sequences to identify all relevant mutations and changes. This deeper insight helps oncologists plan treatment better and supports diagnostics and biomarker discovery.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in New York, NY, and the company is currently based here, with some team members remote. It would remain here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We chose New York because of its proximity to top medical centers, cancer researchers, and hospitals who are our early users and key collaborators. It's important to be close to where the genome sequencing gets done and analyzed.
