We built a digital bank focused on French speaking African countries where less than 25% of the population has a bank account. Djamo offers affordable and straightforward banking services to millions who currently can't access or trust traditional banks.
We live and operate in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Dakar, Senegal. After YC, we will continue to be based here.
We're based where the market is. The financial inclusion problem is huge in French speaking Africa, and being local helps us understand and serve consumers who are underserved by large banks.
