Using monogenic disorders to solve complex diseases

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We develop therapeutics inspired by monogenic neurodegenerative diseases to treat more complex, common neurological conditions. Our approach is to identify genetic mutations that clearly cause severe disease, understand their biology deeply, and then design drugs that can address similar pathways in widespread disorders. The product pipeline focuses on neurotherapeutics informed by rare genetics.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We currently work distributed with no fixed HQ. After YC, we plan to base the company wherever makes sense for biotech talent and investor access, likely near major biotech hubs.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Because we are early-stage biotech with a six-person team, flexible location allows us to recruit skilled scientists and developers broadly while we establish our product and fundraise. YC's network will help us decide the best base moving forward.
