Skin patches for generic drug delivery

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We make skin patches designed to deliver generic drugs through the skin instead of pills or injections. Our patches improve patient compliance and reduce side effects by controlling drug release more precisely. We focus on complex molecules that are hard to deliver transdermally with existing tech.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Waterloo, ON, Canada and the company is based here. After YC, we plan to remain here to keep close to our initial team and the biotech ecosystem in Waterloo.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Waterloo has a small but growing life sciences and technology community. We wanted to build where we have access to talent and labs that support biotech, while keeping costs manageable. It's also where we're based, so it makes sense to stay rather than relocate at this stage.
