We built AnythingLLM, a desktop and mobile AI app that runs entirely on-device. It lets people use powerful local AI tools without an internet connection or privacy concerns. Our open-source project packs multiple AI functionalities into one app to make AI practical and accessible for everyday tasks.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We are based in Los Angeles, CA, and operate remotely. After YC, we plan to keep the company rooted here while expanding our remote team.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Los Angeles is where we live and started building the product. It gives us access to a growing tech community while allowing flexible remote collaboration.
