What Xfers does

Xfers is a Singaporean-based payment processing gateway offering credit card processing and Internet banking transfers. As a graduate of Y Combinator’s Summer 2015 Class, Xfers aims to unify banking networks across Southeast Asia. Featured on Techcrunch and coined as the Paypal of Southeast Asia by Channel News Asia, we simplify and redefine the process of collecting and receiving payments in Southeast Asia. In 2016, Xfers announced its first round of seed funding. Its investor portfolio includes venture capital firms such as Quest Ventures, 500 Startups, Golden Gate Ventures and angel investors such as Eduardo Saverin.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built Xfers to let people and businesses in Southeast Asia collect and receive payments through credit cards and Internet banking transfers. Our product connects fragmented banking networks in the region, making it easier for merchants to get paid without dealing with multiple banks or payment methods separately.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in Singapore, and the company will be based there during and after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Singapore is the financial hub of Southeast Asia and our main market. Being here gives us direct access to banks, regulators, and early customers who need better payment processing solutions across the region.
