We are building Type.ai, an AI-native document editor designed specifically for long-form storytelling. It helps people write books, novels, essays, screenplays, and other types of long-form content by integrating AI deeply into the writing process, making drafting and editing more productive and intuitive for creators focused on narrative and extended prose.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in New York, NY, and plan to base the company there after YC as well.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are based here already and our team and network are local. Staying in New York keeps us close to the creative community that uses Type, and we can operate fully remote if needed post-YC.
