What Surge does

Surge is Stripe for telephony. Our team has experience building telephony software at billion dollar scale. Because of increased regulation, Twilio and other SMS APIs take weeks to onboard new customers, but we can get startups onboarded same day. Surge wins by enabling easy carrier registration, better support, and higher level APIs and no code UI components to make implementation easier for startups and developers.

We are building APIs and no-code UI components that make telephony integration easy for startups and developers. Our platform lets companies onboard telephony carriers the same day, unlike Twilio which can take weeks due to regulation. The product includes carrier registration, developer tools, and higher-level abstractions to make SMS and voice services easier to implement.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Lehi, UT, and the company will be based there after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are already based in Lehi, and it's where we have built the product and live, so it makes sense to keep the company here. There is no need to relocate at this stage.
