We built PermitPortal to help real estate developers speed up the pre-construction phase. Our product creates workflows that guide users through finding development sites, understanding local entitlements, and navigating the complex development approval process. The focus is on reducing the time it takes to get building permits by making critical but often opaque steps clearer and faster using AI.

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

San Francisco is where we are based due to the proximity to real estate developers and access to technical talent, making it the right place to build a product focused on real estate and construction workflows.
