What Svix does

Svix is the enterprise ready and open source webhooks service. Webhooks are a pain. Developers need to worry about deliverability, retries, monitoring and security. All of which are different for webhooks compared to the rest of the stack. We turn all of that into a simple API call. Svix is sending billions of webhooks for customers both large (Fortune 500) and small (startups), and is backed by Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Aleph, and founders and CTOs of companies such as Github, PagerDuty, Segment and Lookout.

We built an API-first service that handles sending webhooks with retries, security, and monitoring built-in. Instead of developers building and maintaining their own fragile webhook infrastructure, they call Svix's API to manage delivery, handle failures, and track events. Our open source core lets customers run it themselves or use our cloud.

We live in San Francisco, and the company will remain based here after YC.

San Francisco puts us close to customers and early users, as well as to the network and talent pool needed to expand our team and grow the company.
