We built Obtainly, a mobile app that helps FMCG manufacturers in Africa receive payments and finance inventory purchases for their distributors. It solves the problem of distributors lacking upfront capital by allowing them to buy on credit through the app.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Lagos, Nigeria, and the company is based there. After YC, we plan to remain in Lagos to stay close to our user base and market.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Lagos is the commercial hub where our users - the FMCG distributors and manufacturers - are located. Being local helps us understand and solve their specific supply chain and financing challenges.
