What Stypi does

Stypi is a San Francisco based tech company focusing on real-time collaboration. Its first product is a collaborative code editor that many companies such as Apple, Pinterest, and Palantir, have incorporated into their remote interview process. Stypi was acquired by Salesforce.com in 2012, where the team still continues to build its real-time technology and platform.

Realtime collaborative coding

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We are building a real-time collaborative code editor where multiple developers can write and edit code together simultaneously. Our product makes remote technical interviews easier by allowing companies to watch candidates code live, reducing friction and miscommunication in the hiring process.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco and the company is based there currently and would remain so after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are based in San Francisco because it's where we're located and where our initial customers and early users are. Being here keeps us close to the companies using our product and the developer community we serve.
