We built Stairs to help young Americans find homes they can realistically afford by connecting what they earn and save with available government grants, loans, and tax breaks. Our product filters home listings based on each user's financial situation, then shows them tailored government aid they qualify for, making the home buying process more accessible.

We live and work in New York, NY, and the company would remain based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

New York is where we live and know well. Housing affordability and government programs here are a major part of the problem we're solving, so it's natural to build and grow our company here.
