What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build chemical solutions, like PetroX and LithX, that improve how oil and metals are extracted from difficult sources. Our products help energy and mining companies get more out of shale reservoirs and low-grade ores by enhancing recovery through better chemistry.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in Austin, TX, and plan to base MaverickX here after YC as well.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Austin has the talent and energy sector connections we need. It's a hub where we can attract scientists and operators familiar with natural resource extraction challenges.
