Why Howdy.com? Howdy was founded in 2018 to help Austin startups hire talented engineers who work within US time zones in Latin America. Since then we’ve grown to a team of over 600, and our platform has enabled hundreds of companies to hire individual teammates, set up remote, hybrid or in-office teams, and manage remote equipment assets and benefits. What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We've built a platform that helps US-based tech companies find, hire, and manage software engineers located in Latin America but working within US time zones. Our product supports recruiting, onboarding, equipment procurement, office space, and ongoing benefits to retain talent locally as an extension of their US teams.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Austin, TX, and the company is based here and will remain here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Austin is where we started and where most of our initial customers and founders are. It's also a growing tech hub with lots of startups that need the kind of talent and solutions we provide, so it makes sense to stay here.
