We are building SimpleScan, a microfluidic lab-on-a-chip device that uses one microliter of blood to rapidly quantify multiple biomolecules. This accelerates proteomic data collection, enabling pharma companies to get dynamic protein profiles rather than static snapshots.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Berkeley, CA, and the company is based here. We would remain in Berkeley after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We chose Berkeley because of the proximity to UC Berkeley, where the company spun out of, and the access to leading microfluidics research. Staying local keeps us close to our core tech and academic collaborators.
