What Youlicit does

The Youlicit web content recommendation engine leverages the wisdom of the crowds to return the most recommended sites related to a website or topic. To use Youlicit, simply install a plug-in with the Youlicit buttons on your Firefox browser. These buttons light up, while you surf, and by clicking on them, you instantly get highly relevant recommendations, without searching. It also allows you to discover the web via personalized recommendations based on your interests and find other users interested in the same topics as you.

We built a Firefox plug-in that places Youlicit buttons in the browser, letting users get instant, crowd-sourced recommendations related to the sites they visit. This helps people discover relevant web content without traditional search, based on real-time input from others with similar interests.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We currently live in New York, NY and plan to base the company there after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We live in New York and will continue to base the company here to stay close to a large, diverse population of web users and developers who can provide feedback and help grow the product.
