What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We're building a medical device that uses targeted cooling to stop brain damage during strokes. Our product is designed to be used by hospitals and emergency medical teams to reduce neurological injury by cooling the brain quickly and safely during the critical window after a stroke starts.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in Berkeley, CA, and our company is based here as well. We plan to keep the company here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Berkeley has a strong biomedical and engineering community, and it's where we live. Keeping the company here lets us stay close to our team and the university research we rely on.
