AI for product and design teams

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built an AI-powered platform that helps product, engineering, and design teams generate, organize, and collaborate around technical and design documentation. It reduces friction in producing and maintaining up-to-date materials developers and designers rely on.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in New York, NY. Post-YC, the company will remain based in New York.

Explain your decision regarding location.

New York gives us access to both engineering and design talent as well as proximity to our B2B customers across product and design teams. It fits our team's lifestyle and recruitment strategy.

No. This is a reconstruction: the real YC form questions, answered from Vellum's public data (launch notes, founder backgrounds, product description). It shows how a company like Vellum would present itself to YC, not the text they submitted. Y Combinator does not publish most applications.
