What Tandem does

Tandem is a digital office for remote teams. You can see who's online, what app they're working in, and talk/screenshare/video in one click. We designed Tandem by deconstructing the affordances and benefits of a physical space, and transcribing them to a virtual space.

We built Tandem as a digital office for remote teams. It shows who's online, what app they're working in, and lets you start a call, screen share, or video chat instantly. We designed it by breaking down what physical offices give teams and bringing that experience to a virtual space.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, and the company is based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where the team already lives and works, and it's where many remote teams we target also have a presence. It's the natural base for us to build Tandem and connect with early users.
