What Sunsama does

Sunsama organizes your work one day at a time. In the morning, plan your day. Pick out what you want to work on today by importing your tasks and meetings for the day from your various tools. Decide how much time you want to spend on each item to make sure you're setting realistic goals for yourself. As the day goes on, stay focused. Concentrate on one task at a time. Keep track of how long you've been working, and when it's time to shift your attention to something else. When you're done, shut down for the day. Reflect on what you were able to accomplish. End the day feeling satisfied with what you could do rather than consumed by what you couldn't. Sunsama is built to improve your relationship with your work. Work should be an engine for fulfillment, not for stress and anxiety.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built Sunsama to help busy professionals organize their work one day at a time. Our product lets users import their tasks and meetings from various tools each morning, set realistic goals with dedicated time blocks, focus on one task at a time during the day, and end by reflecting on their accomplishments. It's not just a to-do list or calendar; it shapes how users plan, track, and close out their workdays to reduce stress and increase satisfaction.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Kailua, HI, and Oakland, CA, plus remote. After YC, the company will remain distributed across these locations and remote team members.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Our team is spread out across Kailua, Oakland, and remote. We value being able to work where we live and collaborate remotely, which has worked well for Sunsama so far. We don't see a need to relocate the company to a single location after YC.
