Supabase is the easiest way to get started with Postgres. Each project within Supabase is an isolated Postgres cluster, allowing customers to scale independently, while still providing the features that you need to build: instant database setup, auth, row level security, realtime data streams, auto-generating APIs, and a simple to use web interface. We built Supabase to make starting with Postgres easy and fast. Each project runs in its own Postgres cluster so users can scale independently. Our platform includes instant database setup, user authentication, row level security, realtime data streams, auto-generated APIs, and a simple web interface to manage it all. This lets developers launch production-ready backends without configuring servers or writing boilerplate.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live across the US and Europe, ourselves based in San Francisco and remote. After YC, we plan to keep being fully remote but maintain a legal base in San Francisco.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are fully remote because it lets us hire the best engineers worldwide and stay flexible. San Francisco is our legal base because of familiarity with the startup ecosystem and access to investors.
