RoverRide
A universal urban transit app
We built Rover to give real-time transit directions in San Francisco. It tracks all MUNI, BART, and Caltrain lines and shows you the best route right now, so you don't have to wait or miss your connection. It solves the problem that transit apps typically show scheduled times rather than live conditions, which leads to guesswork and missed rides.
We live in San Francisco, and the company would be based in San Francisco after YC as well.
San Francisco is where the transit data we use comes from and where our users live. Being local lets us quickly test and improve real-time routing in the city.
