What RedCarpetUp does
RedCarpet issues credit cards to those that banks cannot see. Currently we are one of the largest issuers of credit lines to the new-to-credit customer in India. In a population base of 800 million people with bank accounts, there are less than 40 million credit cards. By building a fullstack SDK for card issuance, underwriting as well as holding capital & collection ops, we are looking to build the Capital One of India.

We build credit cards targeted at new-to-credit customers in India - people banks don't lend to or even know. We provide an SDK for card issuance, underwriting, capital management, and collections so companies can underwrite and give credit to this untapped market. Essentially, we're building the Capital One of India.
We live in Gurugram, Haryana, India, and the company is based here with a remote workforce as well. After YC, we plan to remain based in Gurugram but may increase remote operations.
India's credit market is largely underserved, and being based in Gurugram places us close to both talent and customers. It's critical to be close to the regulatory environment and our market.
