We are building Realm, a mobile database designed to replace SQLite and Core Data. It lets developers build apps faster and write less boilerplate by providing better data structures tailored for mobile. Our product saves thousands of lines of code and lets teams ship features and user experiences that were otherwise too complex or slow to build.
Bjarne is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Alexander is in San Francisco. After YC, the company will be based in San Francisco.
We chose to base Realm in San Francisco after YC to focus on building relationships with mobile developers and partners, and to be where most customers and investors are. The team remains split between Copenhagen and San Francisco, leveraging talent and presence on both coasts.
