What PropelAuth does

PropelAuth provides the right level of authentication for all stages of a company. New startups can use our hosted pre-built UIs which provide the simplest possible integration. Out of the box, our customers immediately have the same auth experience as large tech companies like Slack. As those startups grow, they can use our APIs and component libraries to pull aspects of the experience into their product. More than just authentication, we will also provide useful functions tied to a "user" or "organization", like analytics, billing/subscriptions, referral programs, etc.

We provide authentication tailored to B2B SaaS companies. Early-stage startups get hosted UIs that integrate quickly and offer polished auth experiences like Slack's. As they grow, they can switch to APIs and libraries to embed those auth flows natively, plus access related functions like analytics and billing linked to users and organizations.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We are based in San Francisco, CA, and remote team members join from other locations. After YC, the company will remain in San Francisco with a remote team.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where we are located because it's a hub for B2B SaaS and access to engineering talent. Remote helps us stay flexible and tap into a broader pool, but the company's base is here for YC and customer proximity.
