What Plate IQ does

Plate IQ makes accounts payable simple. Automated accounts payable software replaces manual data entry by digitizing your invoices down to the line item, automatically assigning them your proper GL codes, syncing the information to your accounting software, and providing analytics around purchasing. Plate IQ also offers one-click bill pay, inventory, and cloud-based data storage that allows businesses to go paperless.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built automated accounts payable software that replaces manual invoice data entry. Our system digitizes invoices down to the line item, assigns the correct GL codes automatically, syncs with accounting software, and offers analytics on spending. We also provide one-click bill pay, paperless cloud storage, and inventory tracking to simplify finance teams' workflows.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in London and Emeryville. After YC, we plan to base the company primarily in Emeryville, CA.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We picked a hybrid presence with London and Emeryville to access both European markets and Silicon Valley funding and talent. Post-YC, being in the US will help us scale faster.
