What Outtalent does

We started Outtalent because we believe that talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not and emerging markets have an exceptional number of great but undervalued engineers. We believe getting a job at one of the world’s best companies sets people on a great path to realize their full potential. Outtalent is funded by YCombinator, world-class venture capital funds, executives from Google and Facebook, and other angel investors who are passionate about our mission. We have already helped software engineers from Russia, Ukraine and Central Asia get jobs at Google, Amazon, Microsoft and many other companies in the US, Canada, and Europe.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

Outtalent is a platform that helps top engineers in emerging markets prepare for and secure jobs at leading tech companies abroad. We provide tailored interview training, mentorship, and connections with recruiters in the US, Canada, and Europe.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and operate in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We picked Bishkek because it's our home and a hub for many underrepresented engineers we serve. We want to prove that world-class tech talent can build successful companies outside traditional Silicon Valley hubs.
