What Muddy does

Muddy is a chat-like web browser (built on Chromium). Teams use Muddy to work with their teammates and software all in one window. Muddy consists of Spaces: project, event, or competency based feeds in which users can send updates that consist of basic multimedia messages, specific files from applications (Google Doc, Airtable Base, Figma File, +anything web based), and annotations on both. Recipients can then use those apps right in line of the messages to take the requested action or give the solicited feedback (review my design, update the CRM, approve the PR, confirm PTO in Gusto, etc).

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built Muddy - a chat-like browser based on Chromium where teams share updates in project-based Spaces. Users send messages containing multimedia, files from web apps like Google Docs or Figma, and annotations. The key part is that recipients can interact with those apps directly inside Muddy to act on requests or give feedback without leaving the chat.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and the company is based here.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where our team lives and where most early users are. Being in the tech hub helps us iterate fast and meet customers. We plan to stay here through YC to stay close to investors and partners.
