What Airwork does

Airwork is an on-demand labor marketplace for premium blue collar workers. You can get an Airworker the same way you get an Uber, except instead of a taxi, someone shows up at your work site to work for the day. Airwork fills 98% of shifts in 2 hours. We're currently live in 8 industries across Southern Ontario, Canada, and customers include Tesla, the Toronto Pearson Airport, and the CNE. We're funded by YCombinator, Expa, Village Global, and SHL Capital.

We built an on-demand labor marketplace focused on premium blue collar workers. Customers can book an Airworker for same-day shifts just like ordering an Uber, but for work on their job site. We've focused on filling shifts quickly and reliably, supporting industries like automotive, airports, and events, with clients including Tesla and Toronto Pearson Airport.

We live in Toronto, Canada and the company will stay based there after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We're based in Toronto where the labor market dynamics we solve are real and where our initial customers and workers live. Staying here lets us keep close to the operations and build something practical and localized.
