Cloud Development Environments with one click

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build Okteto, a platform that lets developers spin up cloud development environments on Kubernetes with a single command. It eliminates the long setup times and environment mismatches developers face locally. Instead of managing local dependencies or fighting configuration drift, devs run code directly in Kubernetes replicas of production, speeding up development and debugging production-only issues.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We are distributed with team members in San Francisco, Denver, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and remote. After YC, we'd base the company primarily in San Francisco to tap into the startup ecosystem and investor community.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We want to stay close to investors and partners in the Bay Area while keeping our global team distributed. Our tool targets developer teams globally, so remote collaboration is natural, but YC's support and connections happen mostly in San Francisco.
