This allows them to produce prefab housing with up to 80% of operations automated. Mighty Buildings has a near-zero waste production process, preventing 1,100 - 2,000 kg of CO2 emission per 3D-printed home. They are committed to achieving Net-Zero by 2028 - making the company 22 years ahead of the construction industry. The company is certified under California's Factory Built Housing program to build units using 3D-printing, but they are also the first company to achieve certification under the UL 3401 standard for evaluating building structures and assemblies.

We build homes using a 3D printing process combined with robotic arms and a proprietary printable material that lets us print entire buildings, not just walls, in one automated cycle. This approach produces prefab homes that are lighter than concrete, have better insulation, and create minimal waste. Our tech automates up to 80% of production, reducing cost and CO2 emissions per home.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and operate in Oakland, CA, and that is where the company will remain based after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Oakland is our home base due to its proximity to key robotics talent, access to California's factory-built housing program certification, and the local market for sustainable housing. Being in California helps us meet strict building standards and connect with our early customers.
