What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We engineer yeast strains that convert sugar into high-value, renewable industrial chemicals that replace petrochemical processes where bio routes are cost-advantaged. Our microbes produce chemicals used in sectors like flavors, fragrances, and specialty materials.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and intend to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco has the biotech talent and ecosystem we need. It's where our team lives and the infrastructure for synthetic biology startups is strongest.
