We build engineered enzymes that break down plastic polymers into chemical building blocks. These enzymes act like molecular scissors, making plastic recycling efficient enough to enable a circular plastics economy and reduce carbon emissions by about 70%.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Portland, OR, and the company is based here now. After YC, we'll keep Portland as our base.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Portland has the synthetic biology talent and an environment supportive of climate tech. We're rooted here and want to build from a location that matches our mission and team.
