Чем занимается Tuva Health

At Tuva Health, we make open source software that cleans and transforms messy healthcare data. We’re founded by Aaron Neiderhiser and Coco Zuloaga, former senior execs from Health Catalyst and Strive Health. We realized data transformation and data quality is the fundamental problem preventing the healthcare industry from building scalable data products. We launched Tuva and joined the W22 batch of Y Combinator to solve this problem for the entire industry. Since January 1st, we signed our first customer (paying $10k per month) and completed the first major release of the Tuva Project. At Tuva, our goal is to (1) become the open standard for healthcare data transformation and (2) build the data network for multi-site benchmarking, research, and machine learning on top of this open standard.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build the Tuva Project, an open source platform that cleans and transforms messy healthcare data. It solves the core problem that prevents healthcare organizations from building reliable, scalable data products: poor data quality and inconsistent formats. Our software helps healthcare data teams ingest and standardize raw clinical and claims data so downstream applications like analytics, research, and machine learning can trust and use it effectively.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a remote team. We expect to remain distributed after YC but officially headquartered in Salt Lake City.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Salt Lake City is where both founders live and have roots. It's a good base for cost and quality of life and fits our remote-friendly approach. We don't need a major tech hub because our customers are healthcare organizations across the US, not local.
