Grain is a mobile app that links your existing debit card to a line of credit based on your cash flow. It lets you use your debit card like a credit card without risking traditional credit card debt, targeting millennials, Gen Z, and immigrants who avoid credit cards.
We live in Oakland, CA now, and after YC the company will be based here with remote team members.
We chose Oakland because it's where we live and where most of the team is now. The company is distributed, so we can hire remote but keep our base here.
