The Insect Farming Company. We’re developing the world’s most efficient and sustainable way to produce protein. Insects are rich in protein and are a natural component of the diets of many fish and free-range poultry. Our technology is significantly more efficient at producing protein than traditional methods of production as our insects are vertically farmed and not restricted to floor space or area. Thanks to our automated system we can produce at industrial scale and offer farmers a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to soymeal and fishmeal.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build a fully automated vertical farm that breeds black soldier fly larvae to produce insect protein for animal feed. Our system scales protein production efficiently using less land and water than traditional protein sources. The product delivers a cost-effective, sustainable alternative to soymeal and fishmeal for farmers raising fish and free-range poultry.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in London, England, and after YC the company will remain based in London.

Explain your decision regarding location.

London provides access to a strong tech and agriculture ecosystem and the talent we need to build automated farming systems. We want to stay where our team and key partners are.
