What Versable does

Auto parts retailers get product data from hundreds of manufacturers that is inaccurate and inconsistent, often with big gaps in key values. They currently have a team of "catalog managers" who are required to process and enhance this data line by line, resulting in a week to months long lag between receiving product data and actually being able to start generating revenue from those products. Versable leverages AI to scan the web for tens of millions of auto parts listings, and uses a fine-tuned LLM with RAG to instantly process, enhance, and transform data. With just a part number, Versable is able to generate market-ready titles, product descriptions, and specs, in any format that's needed.

AI product description enhancement for auto parts

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built an AI system that takes a part number from auto parts retailers and instantly generates clean, accurate product titles, descriptions, and specs. It scans millions of listings online, then uses a fine-tuned language model combined with retrieval-augmented generation to fix inconsistent or missing data. This replaces weeks or months of manual catalog management with an instant data-ready product feed.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco and remote locations. After YC, the company will remain based in San Francisco with a distributed team.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where we live and has a strong tech and startup ecosystem. The auto parts industry is distributed but retailers and manufacturers are easily reachable remotely. Being here connects us to YC and potential partners.
