What Simplifyd Systems does

Simplifyd enables businesses deliver their internet apps (websites/mobile apps) data-free, similar to toll-free telephone lines. We do this through our Zerodata app Founded in August of 2021 and based in Lagos, Nigeria and Nairobi, Kenya, Simplifyd through its Zerodata platform is a trusted marketplace for data-free internet apps. Businesses list their internet apps (websites/mobile apps) on the Zerodata platform so end users can access them data-free! End users simply need to download the Zerodata app, available for both mobile and desktop, toggle on and enjoy access to listed apps data-free! We are on a mission to make apps accessible to over ~2B people in emerging economies who simply cannot afford the costs of internet data subscriptions.

We built Zerodata, an app that lets users access listed websites and mobile apps data-free, similar to toll-free phone calls. Businesses list their apps on our platform so users in emerging markets can use those internet services without paying for data. Our product works on both mobile and desktop, and users simply toggle it on to browse data-free.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work across London, Lagos, and Nairobi. After YC, we'd likely keep a distributed setup across these hubs where our users and team are but may expand more into the U.S. market from LA.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Our team and early users are in Nigeria, Kenya, London, and LA, reflecting where data cost barriers are highest and where internet access is critical. We operate where the problem is biggest and where we can build strong partnerships.
