What Piggy Robotics does

We build humanoid robots that do your chores at iPhone prices. Just like the millions of cars generating data for self-driving, we need millions of humanoids generating real-world data for general-purpose robotics. Humanoid companies today can only manufacture hundreds a year because motors are expensive and slow to assemble. We use artificial muscles. Each muscle is just a tube wrapped in braided fibre, and the whole robot is powered by a single pump - which means we can mass-produce humanoids by the millions. Our design is built for that scale from day one and is cheap enough to enter billions of homes.

Describe what your company does in 50 characters or less.

Humanoid robots that do your chores.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build humanoid robots that perform household chores at the cost of an iPhone. Unlike current humanoid robotics companies that only make hundreds a year due to expensive motors and slow assembly, we use artificial muscles - tubes wrapped in braided fiber powered by a single pump - enabling mass production by the millions. Our robots generate real-world data needed for general-purpose AI robotics and are designed from day one to be cheap and scalable for billions of homes.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in London, United Kingdom, and plan to keep the company based there after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

London offers strong engineering talent and access to advanced robotics research, making it the best place for us to build and mass-produce our humanoid robots.
