What Orchata does

Orchata is an app where you can get groceries & daily essentials delivered in 20 min in Latin America. All the way from fresh fruits, meat, alcohol, pharmacy, groceries, snacks and top e-commerce brands with no substitutes and at supermarket prices. We launched the service in Mexico and grew it from $0 to $6.3M in revenue and +30k customers. LATAM grocery is a huge US$ 451B market that is moving online fast. Orchata goes further with all-in-one software for darkstores around the city. We are following the Billion USD playbook that Gopuff built in the US.

We built an app that delivers groceries and daily essentials in 20 minutes across Latin America. Users order anything from fresh produce, meat, alcohol, pharmacy items, to snacks - all at supermarket prices, with no substitutes. Behind the scenes, we run software to manage darkstores efficiently across cities to enable fast delivery.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and operate in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, and would continue to base the company here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Latin America's grocery delivery market is huge and underserved. Being based in Monterrey lets us build directly for local customers and suppliers, and operate where the opportunity is real and growing fast.
